Now we have full complement of World Cruise passengers onboard and the last Brisbane Hawaii cruise passengers have now departed, the Captain announced we would not be stopping in Colombo but Malaysia instead.
Kevin finished the day off with the comedian/juggler act.
Kevin morning and afternoon to cards, Anne morning bible study and Choir in the afternoon.
Above Bar demo, always something going on.
Our table
From left to right, Roy, Clem, Marcia, Kevin, Anne, Julie, Tony and Margaret.
Captain’s Talk and Champagne Waterfall
Love Princess, those using wheelchairs could not climb the stairs to pour the champagne, so a small waterfall was brought down to them.
Had to break our golden rule and buy a photo ($15), as the small waterfall was brought down while Kevin was in the toilet.

Captain listed nationalities on board.
Flashing Bow tie was as popular as ever
Sea day routine, Anne to Bible Study and afternoon choir, Kevin to cards twice and both of us to morning coffee.
Another relaxing day at sea
Kevin ended to day by going the the Magic Show
Kevin up for his early morning coffee, no Telstra most of the day.
Church Service
Anne did the reading in Church this morning meaning she walked down all the way to the front
Above, the early setting up of the deck chairs using a string line to keep them straight.
Heading up the Queensland coast, Google showing Anne still onboard.
Late start as ship is 4 hours late (9:30 am) arriving caused by a diversion to avoid rough seas in the ditch. Sure we will catch up the 4 hours in the 2,544 hours to come.
Cannot always believe MarineTraffic.com as it is showing the Sea Princess about to crash into Carnival Spirit (that left yesterday)as it arrives into Sydney.
110kg (10kg less than last time) luggage plus electric and manual wheelchairs plus walker.
Circular Quay for this ship only on the World Cruise
Abandon ship practice is not the same now we do not put on our life jackets. Kevin got into trouble for looking at his phone instead of listening to safety drill.
After 8pm before we finally were underway
Settling into the hard life at sea, breakfast in the restaurant, Kevin has found two card players from the last World Cruise, Anne looking forward to the choir, plenty of things to do, first walk around the deck, unpacked and dinner and show next.
Room upgrades in the 2017 drydock (straight after our late World Cruise on this ship in this cabin) see the TV about 4 times the size with HDMI access so I can play the movies I bought with me (62) on the large TV.
Our lights above the bed have USB outlets and new beds.
First walk around the Promenade deck, realised I walked the wrong way as today I saw the sign showing which direction to walk.
Show tonight, Encore and now allowed to take some pics.
Brisbane into the cruise terminal where the bigger ships cannot go because of the bridge.
Spent a pleasant morning doing last minute shopping before returning to the ship after lunch time (do not need lunch)
After our normal morning activities, a walk around the deck before returning home and watching “The Greatest Showman” on our lovely big TV.
Note to left, fire hoses being tested before we get to Pirate areas.
Guess what, it is dinner time again.
Again typical day at sea, with the exception of another sale where Anne bought a big Guess Bag for $60 and received raffle tickets for the Opal shop, did not win anything but had the opportunity to buy a $65,000 opal with 40% off today only, declined.
Clocks back another hour tonight now GMT +8 hours or 2 hours ahead of Sydney.
Today's lunchtime ship position above and our typical lunch position, fruit on the bed.
Watched Mr and Mrs Smith on the TV, Kevin bought 60 movies on a hard drive and with new large TV, we can show them on the TV.
Sunrise from ship ass, sorry typo aft.
We are travelling due west and sunrise time is approximately 30 minutes later per day, today we have put the clocks back an hour so sunrise yesterday was 6:15am and today earlier at 5:45am. Think about it?
Even at 5:30 am crew are working, here they are applying rust converter
Breakfast above, always ready for doors to open, cards and Bible study as usual.
Beautiful day at sea as we passed Timor
My best hand at cards today, not prepared to show all the poor hands, but this one made up for them.
Formal tonight
Then the classic movie Elephant Walk on the TV compliments of our computer
Komodo was a great adventure for a teenager (Kevin) who used to have bluetongue and bearded dragon lizards
These are not in the same class as shown from this abstract from Wikipedia.
In the wild, an adult Komodo dragon usually weighs around 70 kg (150 lb) According to Guinness World Records, an average adult male will weigh 79 to 91 kg and measure 2.59 m (8.5 ft), while an average female will weigh 68 to 73 kg and measure 2.29 m (7.5 ft). The largest verified wild specimen was 3.13 m (10.3 ft) long and weighed 166 kg (366 lb), including undigested food.
The Komodo dragon has a tail as long as its body, as well as about 60 frequently replaced, serrated teeth that can measure up to 2.5 cm (1 in) in length. It also has a long, yellow, deeply forked tongue. Komodo dragon skin is reinforced by armoured scales, which contain tiny bones called osteoderms that function as a sort of natural chain-mail. This rugged hide makes Komodo dragon skin a poor source of leather.
Short tender trip into wharf, glad Anne had day at home as wharf and track were not wheelchairable. First we met the guide, finding out the do’s and don’ts, then off for an 80 minute walk.
At the start we saw a couple of deer that are put on the island as food for the lizards, they eat the whole animal (including hooves and bones). There are also wild pigs on the island for food.
After about 30 minutes walk we arrived at a water hole with 6 lizards
Panorama of the waterhole below and about 5 tour groups.
Need to work out the wide angle selfie as there can only be one Kevin.
Anne edit “Thankfully”
After our tour, we were walking back to the boat when we saw kids yelling on a small boat, they had sought safety on the boat from the lizard between us and the sea.
One of the local guides gave me his stick while he went around the other side of the lizard by the beach and took these two pictures below for me.
Back to the wharf and what looked like a long queue quickly cleared and I was on the second tender.
Many of these passengers are coming ashore so it looked a lot worse than it was.
Magic show for Kevin and an early night for both of us.
Poor Internet reception this morning even though I was sitting under a router
Waiting for sunrise with moon above.
Morning Card Group, Kevin, Max, Tony and Sam.
Midday Ice Carving
Afternoon cards and Choir as usual, dinner and production show tonight
Smooth seas so walker getting a real run.
Second show tonight, with 3 of the Cruise staff singing in the Vista lounge
Expect a bump any moment now as we cross the Equator
Today those who have not crossed to equator (Pollywogs) are expected to be part of a “ceremony” where they are covered with spaghetti, tomato sauce and coloured gunk.
Another relaxing day at sea
8:35 meeting for our morning tour of the Gardens by the Bay and Marina Sands Observation Deck.
Pilot onboard, ships everywhere
Gardens by the Bay famous Metal trees with Marina Bay Sands and Observation Deck on the top floor.
