Day 8 Saturday 22

September 2018
Lautoka Fiji

We have been very lucky with the weather, today we are docked with the smell of timber as there is a large stockpile of sawdust near us.

Decided to stay at the ship today as there are markets on the wharf, instead of paying $20 each to take a shuttle bus to

"Tappoos City Souvenir Shop, restaurants, supermarket and money exchange facilities"

, do not need any of these!

Unusual wake this morning

Coffee then Walkies time

Chariot shopping and $AU25 less money time.

Went for a swim again today in the Hollywood pool.

Beautiful once you are in the water and we succeeded to get into the spa also.

Naturally had to finish off with an icecream.

Kevin went ashore to get these pictures of Anne on our balcony.

Our first afternoon tea, scones with jam and cream, cakes and sandwiches.

Production Show, tonight we sat in the back wheelchair row.

Lifejacket was useless

Lifou 10,000 residents, largest of the Loyalty Islands, just 50 by 10 miles in size. France took control of New Caledonia in 1853.
While Anne did her exercise, Kevin when for a walk upstairs, opposite are some pictures including Kevin sitting in the Cane lounges in the Hollywood Pool Club area.

Down for breakfast then below the view from our balcony

Kevin went ashore to check out the trip for Anne on the tender using his Elite pass to jump some of the queue, but tenders were having trouble mooring to the jetty so the tender in took 20 minutes wait onboard, then a 50 minute journey time, where coming back was only 15 minutes total
Turtles swimming by tender and Anne circled reading on our balcony.
Coffee, Ginger tea and croissants again today, then time for Anne to have her SCAN.
Note below the diffence in price between the P&O and Princess Café.
