Sunrise from our balcony, now heading NW so we see sunrise instead of the sunset.
Much smoother seas so more walking today.
My 500 card group, John, Don and Barry above.
After cards Anne to pop choir while I had coffee and a walk, opposite you can see the high pressure hoses setup for when we are off Africa where pirates from Somalia can be a problem.
Lunch cheese and gluten free crackers and I forced Anne to have a gluten free lemon meringue desert because I had one.
Next Art Class where Anne made a Birthday card for soon to be 7, granddaughter and did some marbling for tomorrows Art Class.
Time for a rest, shower and dinner.
Another beautiful relaxing and warm day at sea with only a 2 metre swell
.. And how did I forget shopping??
And more after lunch!!!
Swell height in metres
150 metres to rear lifts
What I like about sea days is there is plenty to do but you do not have to do anything except eat. From horse racing to lazing around a not so crowded pool.
Today’s Princess Patter (daily newsletter) listing all the activities available.
Kevin rides in the wheelchair while Anne walks.
No additional encouragement needed to walk down one level, to gluten free Pizza for lunch and a walk back up to our level.
As can be easily seen she prefers to walk up the stairs
Wet today but still plenty to do.
Two more days to Colombo.
Can you pick Kevin’s single pillow that he sleeps with.
Note the two wheelchairs fit nicely in the corner.
Our table, Anne Kevin, sisters Joan then Trish, Marry and Peter, Joylene, Valda (friend of Daphne Daley), Garry and Cathy
Formal and Captain Circle meeting with the Captain, we have 1,030 doing full World cruise (400 of them from New Zealand), 600 at Elite level with free washing.
What’s needed next?
A walk around the deck but it started raining upstairs.
Deck walking 250+150 metres
After lunch we found a good walking circuit around the main pool area with a right hand railing all the way
Day 11 Tuesday 30th May 2017
At Sea
Into routine, breakfast, cards, choir, walk for Anne, lunch and a restful afternoon.
Looking smoother ahead, we are tonight, about half way across the Indian Ocean to Colombo.
For those following our trip, I have just added an item to our 2018 itinerary.
Another morning at sea, first breakfast, then cards interrupted by Pirate drill.
Pirate Drill
Hoses and sound blasters positioned on Promenade deck, passengers back to cabins, balcony doors and blinds closed, lights out
Our cabin before we mess it up.
We are in areas of Pirate threat from 1st till 18th June.
Salted Caramel Latte on the balcony, as you do
Afternoon walk
Lap Dancing
Went up for end of game, NSW were way ahead and it started to rain a couple of minutes before the end.
Had to slum it this morning, and had to have breakfast in the pig pen (cafeteria) as the normal dining room was closed for a 10:30am brunch.
At 3:30am this morning we felt the bump as we crossed to equator.
Kevin cards (a morning to forget) then Anne to the Brunch to complete her breakfast.

What’s needed next?
A walk around the deck but it started raining upstairs so back to level 7.
Wheelchair follower
So Anne walked, from the same place on other side of the ship to the back (sorry aft) and up to here. Kevin just reworked it, an estimated 400 metres.
Clocks back an hour tonight so using tomorrows time the movie was over by 8pm.
Some classics passenger stories
One passenger Facetimes her cat twice a day, one so bored she cleaned her own windows, husband and wife who insisted on exactly 5 prunes each for breakfast, one passenger created a laugh when as each said good morning I am Sue etc, she said I am Joan and I am an alcoholic, somebody doing whole world cruise get off in Melbourne after two days, no reason given and no rumours of anyone dying yet.
Thankfully 99.5% are great people and fun to get along with.

Kevin to magic tutorial
Think of a number, multiply by 9, if result is two numbers then add them together, take away 5, use your answer and convert to the letter of the alphabet, think of a country starting with that letter, take the second letter of that country and think of a circus animal and its colour.
You should have thought of Denmark, Elephant and grey.
Also some other card tricks taught and quickly forgotten.
Movie under the stars tonight was Lion.
Our Tour today
Great value tour at $50 each from 10:30 to 4pm see pictures below.
A great tour around this typical Asian style city, new modern buildings mixed in with the old.
Weather again great, the monsoon rain kept away till the last shop visit and stopped by time we returned to the ship.
